We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) Lead to join our dynamic mental health team. You will be responsible for providing supervision, training, and support to AMHPs to enhance their professional development and ensure adherence to legal frameworks and best practices. In addition to hands-on involvement in complex case assessments, you will have a significant contribution to developing policies, procedures, and practice guidelines that align with organizational objectives and legislative requirements. Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of Approved Mental Health Professionals, providing supervision and support.
Ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act and relevant regulations in all AMHP practices.
Conduct assessments and interventions for individuals in mental health crises, ensuring their safety and welfare.
Develop and implement training programs for AMHPs to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Collaborate with other health and social care professionals to provide integrated support for individuals.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of AMHPs, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
Contribute to the development and review of policies, procedures, and best practice guidelines for the AMHP service.
Requirements
Current AMHP qualification and registration with the relevant professional body.
Significant experience working as an AMHP in mental health settings.
Demonstrated understanding of mental health legislation and its application.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in complex case assessments.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
A commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
