This is a full-time, permanent role with hybrid working, and a salary of £36,433 - £40,401 per annum.

The Role:
You will play a key role in co-ordinating the council’s busy press office and delivering multi-disciplined communications strategies that support key council priorities, projects and services. With a focus on both internal and external audiences, your role will involve:
Co-ordinating the council’s busy press office, proving senior communications oversight to ensure a high standard of proactive and reactive media relations.
Leading, developing, implementing and evaluating strategic external and internal communication plans and campaigns in support of the council’s priorities, key services, projects and strategies.
Providing trusted advice to officers and councillors on communications issues and opportunities, ensuring the council’s reputation and priorities are promoted and protected.
Leading the development of the council’s communications approach to social media, including monitoring of its effectiveness, and deliver proactive and reactive social media.
