Provide senior leadership to the CCOT team and the wider organisation Identify deteriorating patients and initiate timely assessment, diagnosis and intervention necessary in conjunction with the medical team To provide and promote clinical support, advice and education to the multi-professional team caring for acutely ill patients. Provide a consistent Critical Care Outreach service on a 24/7 basis Perform at a senior Outreach level, promoting consistency and continuity of high quality patient focused care throughout the 24 hours Review those patients transferred from Critical care to ward areas and manage the patients entered onto the Outreach caseload Lead on educational programmes both formally and informally and appropriate audits with regard to deteriorating patients and critical care outreach issues Provide leadership and high quality care outside of the physical boundaries of the critical care environment. Participate in the development of guidelines, pathways and standards for the multi-professional teams caring for critically ill patients outside Critical Care
