Summary

Job Summary

To prepare F&B areas by laying/clearing tables. To serve food and beverages, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction and service.

Candidate Profile

Experience:

  • Previous experience of food service in a similar style of operation preferred but not essential.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong Communication skills (verbal, listening, writing).
  • Innovative.
  • Pro-active and reliable.
  • Able to work alone and within a team.
  • Flexible hours in line with business needs.
  • Must be well presented and have excellent personal hygiene.

Education or Certification:

  • Good level of English essential
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certified

Specific Duties

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions, critical to the successful performance of the position:

  • Ensure that you have full product knowledge of all menu items and their service to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • To maintain a high standard of service within food and beverage/conference events at all times as laid down within the company service standards.
  • To promote sales and achieve maximum sales potential for both food and beverages.
  • Clear and lay tables throughout and after service. Ensure that the still room and service areas are clean and tidy at all times.
  • Deal with customer queries and try to resolve immediately. Making full use of the Guest Satisfaction Procedures.
  • To communicate with others in the department to ensure excellent customer relations.
  • To ensure that service to guests is of a prompt and efficient manner in line with company standards.
  • To play an active part in company training and the culture of the company.
  • To adhere to the company Uniform Standards at all times.
  • Follow all Health and Safety Procedures.
  • All company policies on Cash, Key and all Controls are adhered to and followed consistently.

Other

  • Performs other related task as assigned by Management.
  • Complies with The Forest of Arden Hotel policies and procedures.
  • Working hours as required to do your job but normally not less than your contracted hours.
