Crynodeb
We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic field workers to join our hard working fruit teams on a temporary basis from May to August 2025.
This position is labour-intensive, some days depending on the weather, your day may start as early as 5.00 am to avoid the heat inside the polytunnels, an earlier finish on these days will apply.
Previous experience in similar roles would be an advantage, but not essential.
You will be paid in line with the Agricultural Wages Order Scotland, the rate of pay is currently £11.44 per hour rising to £12.21 in April 2025, overtime where applicable will be paid at 1.5 times the basic rate.
Hours will be to suit the requirements of the crop but we generally work 6 days per week, with a minimum of 32 Hours per week.
Requirements:
*flexibility for start and finish time;
*ability to work as part of a team;
*own transport essential due to location and early starts;
*be physically fit to carry out manual handling activities and cope with long periods of standing and bending;
*good attitude to work.
Responsibilities as a fruit picker:
*compliance with Company's policies and legal guidelines;
*fast and reliable with hand / eye coordination. Training will be provided;
*undertaking husbandry work and adhering to the husbandry training provided.
