SECURE YOUR FUTURE. POWER OUR PERFORMANCE.
If you're an engineer who wants more from your career than just a job — if you're looking for security, development, and a place
where your skills matter — this is your next move.
We’re looking for a proactive, hands-on Engineering Technician to join our shift-based engineering team at our large Poole Bakery.
You'll play a vital role in keeping our production lines and site utilities safe, reliable, and running efficiently — ensuring our
food products reach customers to the highest quality and safety standards.
This is your chance to join a stable fast growing business, work with newly invested cutting-edge kit, and grow your career in a
supportive and fast-moving environment.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
* Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance to keep our lines running smoothly.
* Tackle breakdowns with confidence — diagnosing faults and getting things back on track quickly.
* Protect product safety and quality by working to GMP and hygienic engineering standards.
* Support sustainability and efficiency by using resources wisely and improving how we operate.
* Keep our systems compliant, audit-ready, and aligned with industry standards.
* Log work accurately in the CMMS, and support shift handovers with clear communication.
* Get involved in continuous improvement and root cause analysis to reduce downtime and drive performance.
* Contribute to team development — sharing knowledge and supporting apprentices.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Qualifications & Experience:
* Time-served apprenticeship or recognised qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Multi-Skilled Engineering.
* Maintenance experience in manufacturing, ideally food, beverage, or FMCG.
* Hands-on skills in fault-finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
* Experience with a CMMS and safe working practices (e.g., lockout/tagout, permits to work).
Skills & Attributes:
* Technically strong and solutions-focused.
* Clear communicator and confident team player.
* Disciplined in following safety, quality, and compliance procedures.
* Willing to work shifts and flex across lines when needed.
* Always looking for ways to improve and grow.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
* A secure and progressive role with a stable, respected fast growing food manufacturer.
* Ongoing training and development – grow your technical skills and career prospects.
* Be part of a high-performing team where your work truly makes a difference.
* Supportive culture that values safety, quality, and collaboration.
* Competitive salary and benefits package.
Benefits to Include:
* 2 Employee Volunteering Days per year
* Online and High-street retailer discount scheme and well-being portal
* Employee well-being and community support groups
* Charity Initiatives and Team events
* 24/7 Access to Grocery Aid
