Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Estimator with a strong background in preparing accurate and competitive bids. This role offers an opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality estimating services within the mechanical sector.
Key Responsibilities:Project Evaluation: Reviewing project specifications and drawings to determine scope and requirements.

Material Take-Off: Accurately calculating quantities of mechanical components and materials.
•
Estimate Preparation: Utilizing estimating software to calculate project costs, considering labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
•
Bid Preparation & Submission: Developing competitive pricing strategies, preparing bid proposals, and documenting all assumptions and clarifications.
•
Senior Management Presentations: Communicating cost breakdowns, risks, and value-engineering opportunities to support decision-making.
•
Vendor & Supplier Relations: Liaising with suppliers for accurate pricing and lead time information.
•
Compliance & Regulations: Ensuring estimates comply with industry regulations and standards.
•
Client Interaction: Addressing queries and maintaining strong client relationships throughout the estimation process.
•
Training & Development: Mentoring junior estimators and staying updated on industry advancements.
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the construction or mechanical services sector.
•
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, industry standards, and tendering processes.
•
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
•
Excellent analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
•
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
•
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
