Commercial Catering Engineers is a leading provider of commercial kitchen ventilation solutions in North Wales, offering high quality installation, maintenance and repair services. We work with a wide range of clients, from small cafes to large commercial kitchens, ensuring safe and efficient ventilation systems.

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Commercial Kitchen Ventilation Engineer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in a hands on technical field, with full training and support provided. You will work alongside experienced engineers, learning the skills required to install, maintain and repair commercial kitchen ventilation systems, wall cladding and plumbing. Service, repair and installation of commercial kitchen catering appliances.

Duties

Assist in the installation, servicing, and repair of commercial kitchen ventilation and extraction systems.
Learn how to diagnose and troubleshoot ventilation issues
Support in carrying out routine inspections and maintenance
Support servicing, repair and installation of catering equipment
Support in wall cladding and plumbing
Work safely following all heath and safety regulations
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
Keep vans and tool trolleys organised
Load and unload vans
Keep van clean and tidy
Provide excellent customer service whilst on site

Requirements

A valid clean UK driving licence is essential
A willingness to learn and develop new skills
Strong problem solving abilities and attention to detail
Good level of physical fitness, as the role involves manual work and heavy lifting
Plumbing or other trades experience is beneficial
Ability to measure and accurately cut cladding, duct, access door etc
Ability to work flexible hours and travel to different job sites as needed.
Ability to get to our unit on time. We are based in Rhyl, transport from our unit to job sites provided.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Fluent in written and spoken English
