Summary
***TEMP TO PERM POSITION*** - Our client, has been dedicated to manufacturing quality fire doors, door frames and door sets for offices, commercial buildings, hotels and universities for over 30 years requires an Salesperson and Estimator on fixed days, with the position leading to permanent after a successful trial period.
As a Salesperson and Estimator, your main focus will be bringing in new customers and building strong, lasting relationships. While our client will provide training, having previous sales experience is essential. Youll also play a role in preparing cost estimates for projects, helping ensure everything stays on budget. Responsibilities: Bring in new customers and build long-term, meaningful relationships. Understand project requirements by reviewing specifications and drawings. Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment. Work closely with project managers to assess project needs and timelines. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors for competitive pricing. Present estimates to clients and follow up for approval. Keep estimating databases and tools updated. Qualifications: Outgoing personality with a natural ability to connect with new people. Proven sales experience and a drive to bring in new business. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for cost calculations. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards (helpful but not required). Ability to work well in a team and manage multiple projects at once.
