Location: Marischal College, Broad Street, Aberdeen

Duration: Apprenticeship , Full Time

The Modern Apprenticeship Programme is targeted at building our workforce of the future. Funding for training is available for applicants aged 16-19 and 20-24 (depending on the framework) and for disabled and care-experienced applicants between the age of 16-29. Please ensure, if you are applying for a Modern Apprentice post, that you meet one of these criteria.

About the Role:

The purpose of this role is to support and assist with a variety of tasks within the Customer Feedback and Access to Information Team that will widen the post holder’s knowledge and experience in this service area, alongside completing a Modern Apprenticeship framework. The postholder will assist in dealing with customer feedback, elected member enquiries and access to information requests and should demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detailand a customer service ethos.

Requirements

Standard Grade qualification(s) or relevant experience

Responsibilities

Skills & experience in:

Ability to understand and follow instructions

Self-motivated team player

Ability to grasp new topics quickly and on a self-taught basis

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

Ability to use ICT systems and programmes, such as Microsoft Office

Understanding of:

Completing the Modern Apprenticeship Programme

Willingness to learn, including using IT packages

Undertaking training and development as required

Working effectively as part of the Customer Feedback and Access to Information team

Commitment to:

Importance of customer service

Importance of confidentiality

Relevant legislation and policies specific to the service including the Data Protection Act
2018, Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act and Local Authority Complaint Handling
