We have an exciting opportunity for a Ward Clerk on our short stay medical unit (ward 29).

To provide an efficient, effective and comprehensive administrative support for the department/area ward 29.

Duties will include administrative tasks such as record keeping, data entry, filing and scanning.

Dealing with telephone queries, checking and updating patient information with clinical staff, managers and patients.

Communicating information verbally and in writing, providing routine information for patients and staff, for example discharge, admission, transfers and making appointments.

May be required to handle barriers to understanding for example anxious patients, relatives, cultural differences, and language or communication difficulties.

An exciting opportunities have arisen to join a friendly team, working within Ward 29.

Duties will include updating patient management systems, answering calls and greeting patients/relatives, preparing notes and supporting the nursing team with all aspects of ward administration.
