Summary
Role Purpose
Contribute to Provide a technical advice and consultancy service to privet and government organization and other specials interest groups for above area including Chemical industry, Pharmaceutical industry, Bio pharmaceutical industry and Clinical research organization(CRO)
Key Role Activities
Develops and Designs of tests and experimental procedures, Protocols, Recording and Testing system
Liaises with other professionals regarding the development to manufacturing and testing of chemical composition and such related products
Also provide a technical advice service on test, analyses results and experimental data to determine their identity, purity remains within specification as per local and international legislation
Develops and designs of quality control and quality assurance procedures, protocols for manufacturing, distribution and storage of products for Chemical industry, Pharmaceutical industry, Bio pharmaceutical industry and Clinical research organization(CRO)to determine how quality may be improve to meet regulatory standards
Provide a technical advice and consultancy service to privet and government organization and other specials interest groups for above area including Chemical industry, Pharmaceutical industry, Bio pharmaceutical industry and Clinical research organization(CRO)
Analyse samples from various sources to provide information on compounds or quantities of compounds present
Use analytical techniques and instrumentation, such as gas and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), ion chromatography, electrochromatography and spectroscopy (infrared and ultraviolet, amongst others)
Interpret data and meet strict guidelines on documentation when recording data
Report scientific results
Develop techniques for the analysis of drug products and chemicals
Work collaboratively in cross-functional teams liaise with customers, staff and suppliers
Be aware of, and keep up to date with, health and safety issues
validate methods and equipment.
Qualifications
You'll need a degree, usually a 2:1 or higher, in chemistry or a related subject.
Relevant degree subjects include:
analytical chemistry
applied chemistry
biochemistry
chemistry
environmental science (physical)
forensic science
geochemistry
marine sciences, marine biology or oceanography
materials sciences or technology.
Skills
Must need to show:
Expirance of handling of HPLC/GC/UV Instruments
self-confidence and motivation to investigate and solve complex problems
the ability to prioritise and schedule work to meet demands set by the department, company or external customer
presentation skills and the ability to convey technical information to non-technical people
a good standard of numeracy and skills in data analysis
IT and technology skills to work with advanced techniques
creativity and the ability to use initiative for independent work
effective teamworking skills
a flexible and methodical approach to work
You'll usually be expected to work 9am to 5pm but may have to do some extra hours depending on your workload and sample schedule. Part-time work and career breaks are sometimes possible.
