The Best Connection is looking to recruit a number of Steel Operatives for one of our prestigious clients located in the DN16 area.
This is an ongoing position that can lead to a permanent contract for the right candidate.
This will be a rotating shift pattern consisting of: 06:00 - 14:00 22:00 - 06:00 14:00 - 22:00
The Ideal candidate should possess the following: OHC License (overhead crane) Warehouse Experience Long Products steel Experience Good Knowledge of Health & safety Loading / Discharging Loads Tug Unit / Shunting Experience. Digitast Experience (not essential as training will be provided). SAP Knowledge The Job duties will include but are not limited to: Operating an overhead crane Loading and un-loading Trailers Shunter Driving Adhering to all aspects of Health & Safety, set by the Company. Stock replenishment, in line with the correct rotation of stock This is an exciting opportunity for someone that is looking to looking to start a career in the steel industry or for some with experience looking to further their current steel career.
Please Note: Only candidates that have a driving licence will be considered for this role.

- Hourly rate as above (not age dependent)
- 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday)

- 24hr Oncall Support

- Ongoing Assignment

- Possible permanent position following a successful trial period
