We have an exciting opportunity for motivated, committed and experienced dietitians to join our bank in our new London hospital. The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of these clinical areas:

Oncology inpatient or outpatient settings
-
General surgery, Colorectal or Cardiac Surgery
-
Critical care settings
-
Cardiac rehabilitation health education
You will ideally have at least 2 years prior experience working in a similar role & hospital setting. For this role, it is essential to have recent experience of and assured competency in Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN).
As a Dietitian you will:

Work autonomously to advise and support the wider MDT on the nutritional requirements of patients in our inpatients setting

Deliver a high quality outpatients dietetic service for consultant and self-referrals, offering in-person and remotely delivered appointments

Ensure accurate clinical records are maintained in accordance with professional, statutory and Nuffield guidelines

Support the review of relevant internal policy documents

Select appropriate assessment approaches, methods, techniques and equipment, in line with individual needs and characteristics, evidence of effectiveness, and resources available

Explain clearly to patients their own role, responsibilities and accountability, and the information that is needed from the assessment and who might have access, respecting peoples dignity, wishes and beliefs; involving them in shared decision making; and obtaining their consent

Prepare for, carry out and monitor assessments in line with evidence based practice, and legislation, policies and procedures and/or established protocol/established theories and models

Consider and interpret all of information available using systematic processes of reasoning to reach a justifiable assessment, explaining the outcomes to those concerned

Determine and record diagnosis and treatment plans in accordance with professional guidelines

Identify individuals whose needs fall outside protocols/pathways/models and makes referrals to the appropriate practitioners with the necessary degree of urgency

Nuffield Health Barts Hospital
We've opened the doors to Nuffield Health at St Bartholomew's Hospital: The City of London's only independent hospital, situated next to St Bartholomew's NHS hospital. This is our flagship center for cardiac services and will also provide a full range of surgical and medical services, including: orthopaedics, oncology, general surgery, genecology and urology services.
Our hospital consists of 55 beds, including 7 Specialist intensive care beds, four of the most advanced digital operating theatres and Endoscopy and minor ops theatre. With 28 consultation rooms. Cardiac catheterisation lab, Oncology Day unit and full diagnostic imaging suite including MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography and general X-ray.
