REPORTS TO: Lead Pharmacy Technician
ACCOUNTABLE TO:Chief Pharmacist
This is a progressive post that allows pharmacy technicians to further develop their career within the hospital setting before progressing into more specialised roles.
Do you want to develop yourself and our service to meet the needs of patients, using your skills to improve patient care in one of the largest teaching hospitals in the country? Are you due to register as a pharmacy technician in the coming months?
If so, we’d love to hear from you!
We are looking for progressive and proactive technicians with strong problem solving skills and a great work ethic. Applicants must be self-motivated and organised. You will be able to work effectively alone and as part of a team, and will contribute to the process of service development and innovation by your own initiative and enthusiasm as well as lead by example and follow the GPHC standards. Prior hospital experience is not essential.
Successful candidates will be given full training and development in order to fulfil specialist duties for this post and progress within their careers.
Our new strategy, developed with the support and feedback of colleagues, patients, and partners, is our compass for the next seven years (2023-2030).
We have four primary goals:
• high-quality care for all,
• being a great place to work,
• partnerships for impact, and
• research and education excellence
And we will embed health equality in all we do - taking active steps to reduce the avoidable differences in healthcare that some people face, working in partnership with communities.
Our strategy is underpinned by new values and we will work to ensure they are an everyday reality for all:
• we are compassionate,
• we are proud,
• we are inclusive, and
• we are one team
This is an exciting moment as we look to the future with clarity on what we already do well and where we need to focus our energies to make an even bigger difference for the people we serve.
