Would you like to work in a small, family run setting? We are looking for a committed and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team! This position is based at our Nursery in Sherfield Park Community Centre (Willowdene at Sherfield Park) .This is a one room Nursery catering for 24 children from 2 yrs upwards. The applicant will be working in liaison with Willowdene Nursery School at Chineham ensuring the same high standards of care, education and safety for children.
Qualifications -
Relevant childcare qualification (Level 3 required), Knowledge of Safeguarding and First Aid qualification desirable - can be completed within role.
Responsibilities -
To plan, operate and evaluate programme of activities, following the guidelines of the EYFS, using In the Moment planning, that is suitable to the age range of children.
Be responsible for key children, recording observations, tracking children's progress and drawing up individual learning plans for your children.
To ensure children’s development is properly recorded and assessed for gaps in their learning.
Offer stimulation and support to the children as they learn through play.
Maintain routines and procedures in line with Nursery policies.
Skills -
Experience of working in a nursery environment.
Good communication skills, particularly with young children and their parents.
Ability to work as a team.
Computer literate.
Good understanding of the EYFS, child development & how children learn.
Most of all a passion for providing an excellent environment for children to play and learn.
Hours: Up to 40 hours per week - Expected hours: 36 per week
