This truly is an exciting time to join North Manchester General Hospital. A once-in-a-generation opportunity will see our hospital rebuilt and the creation of a health hub within our grounds. This creates a rare opportunity to become involved with these changes and part of the new future of the site. On 1stApril, 2021, we became part of the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, the final piece in a plan that sets out the benefits of creating a Single Hospital Service for the city of Manchester, uniting multiple hospitals and providers of community services. MFT delivers care to approximately 750,000 people across 10 hospital sites. We are changing the way care is delivered to address health inequalities in our region. We are proud of our history, serving North Manchester communities since 1876. One of the first things you will realise when you join us is the community feel and the supportive and nurturing culture.
You’ll thrive in our open, inclusive and collaborative environment where everyone matters, and is respected for who they are. We will help you to develop, and support you to deliver your very best work.

We’ve also created a digitally enabled organisation to improve clinical quality, patient & staff experience, operational effectiveness & driving research and innovation through the introduction of Hive; our brand-new Electronic Patient Record system which we’ve launched in September 2022.
We’re proud to be a major academic Research Centre & Education provider, providing you with a robust infrastructure to encourage and facilitate high-quality research programmes. What’s more, we’re excited to be embarking on our new Green Plan which will set out how MFT continues to play its part in making healthcare more sustainable.
