This is a temporary role, initially 6-7 months. Please do not apply if you are seeking a permanent position.



Key Requirements:

Experience dealing with NRSWA - Fixed Penalty Notices (FPN).
Knowledge of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, Traffic Management Act 2004 and the National Conditions for Permit Schemes.
Significant experience of using computerised mapping systems.
Experience of a computerised street works database system to analyse and input street works notices / permits.



The successful candidate will monitor utility works affecting the public highway by making sure works are notified correctly in accordance with the NRSWA, ensuring that inspection regimes used by the team are carried out correctly and effectively. Ensure utility companies are meeting their obligations within the NRSWA with regards to maintaining their apparatus. To collate and provide statistical information on utility performance relating to the NRSWA inspection regime in accordance with the statutory obligations.

Key Requirements:

Make sure works are notified correctly via EToN (Electronic Transfer of Notices) in accordance with NRSWA.
Ensure inspection regimes used by the team are carried out correctly and effectively.
Ensure utility companies are meeting their obligations within the NRSWA with regards to maintaining their apparatus.
Collate and provide statistical information on utility performance relating to the NRSWA inspection regime in accordance with the statutory obligations.
Using Eton system to evaluate, approve, extend and/or refuse submitted NRSWA notices from as per London Permit Scheme. Liaise with stakeholders (TFL, Utilities and internal staff and contractors).
Evaluate and issue fixed penalty notices. Co-ordinate with utilities regarding challenges, disputes and accepted charges. Reconciliation with systems.
Co-ordination of Section 50 (NRSWA) Licences.
Monitor and maintain electronic records and plans of Temporary Traffic Orders.
