You will take time to understand our stock management systems from goods-in to storage and rotation, as well as re-ordering and controlling dates. You will have the vision and leadership to manage the logistics and planning functions, from sourcing raw materials to ensuring ingredients and packaging moves through our business effectively.
You are responsible for:
Optimising inventory levels and lead times, taking into account our production demands, previous use and future forecasts
On an ongoing and cyclical basis, identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction
Working collaboratively with suppliers to introduce or enhance service delivery KPIs
Working with your peers in sales and production to accurately forecast demand and ensure the effective flow of materials throughout our business
Leading the purchasing team, ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging supplies
Balancing our stock holdings, ensuring that we can meet demand whilst reducing overstocks
Working closely with the technical team to maintain product quality standards, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
Identifying and mitigating supply chain risks such as shortages and ethical supply
Liaising with other department managers to enhance our ways of working and improving communication
Working closely with retailers on product life cycle activities such as NPD and promotions, in order to ensure adequate stock levels of ingredients and packaging
Lead your teams to develop a culture of continuous improvement
