Are you experienced in Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA), or eager to develop your expertise in this area? Do you have a passion for supporting children with autism?
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner schools in Solihull. The school is dedicated to providing high-quality education and support for children with autism and is looking for a committed individual to become part of their inclusive and passionate team.
No prior experience in ABA is required-just a positive attitude and a willingness to learn! Upon starting, you will have access to up to 35 training courses within the first two weeks to enhance your professional development and progress up the pay scale.
Uses ABA principles and the Pyramid Approach to education to support pupils' communication and learning development
Specialises in providing education for children with autism who may struggle in mainstream schools
Offers a tailored curriculum, designed to meet each individual pupil's needs
Friendly and supportive team environment, always prioritising pupil wellbeing
Provides a variety of extra-curricular activities focused on teaching essential life skills
Plan and organise learning activities using ABA and PECS (where appropriate)
Participate in ongoing training and regular development reviews with senior leaders
Provide one-to-one and small group support in a High Dependency Unit, working with children diagnosed with autism
Collaborate with a dedicated team and take responsibility for your workload
Approach challenges with a positive, can-do attitude
