The Finance and Procurement Department are looking for ambitious and high performing Deputy Finance Managers. This is a generic job role across the sections of financial management, costing, income, and capital.
The roles out to advert are in financial management and typically support two Care Groups or Corporate Departments but will also play a leading role in developing and delivering the Trust’s savings programme.
We have a fantastic variety of work underway at our hospital and are building relationships within the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Board. For the right candidate, this job will be both professionally rewarding and provide you with an excellent workplace experience. Our finance department is One NHS Finance Level 2 Accredited, and we will want the successful candidate to help us on our journey to level 3 accreditation.
As a Deputy Finance Manager, you will be a fully or part qualified accountant and keen on adding value and making a difference to patient care.
You will provide high quality and clearly communicate financial information including accurate forecasts all produced to tight deadlines. This will support both monthly reporting and be fully auditable during the year.
You will identify, report and help mitigate financial risks.
You will ensure that financial processes are effective, purposeful, well understood and add value.
You will provide expertise to senior managers, service managers and other responsible individuals on the development of business cases and savings plans.

We are a teaching hospital in partnership with the University of Exeter Medical School, University of Plymouth School of Nursing and Midwifery, and Peninsula Dental School.
The Knowledge Spa on the Royal Cornwall Hospital site is the base for medical and nursing as well as ongoing education for health professions in clinical and non-clinical roles.
Keeping at the forefront of medical advances, we are continually developing our clinical services as well as our facilities and are committed to maximising the range of specialist care that can be offered locally. Allied to this is a growing reputation for research and innovation.
