Summary

Our daughter is 16 years old and a twin, •We are hoping to employ a one or two personal assistants to work with our daughter in a 1:1 capacity

· Support my participation in social, leisure and community access.

· Interact and participate with my development of self-help skills around the home, supporting to them to reach their potential.

· Support with feeding as I have Dysphagia

· Personal care required as one of our daughters wears continence pads and will require support when toileting, showering etc

·Support to get ready for bed. etc.

·Support with any school work

·Support to encourage me to eat and in preparing meals/snacks/drinks etc

·To ensure theirs and your safety at all times.

To complete and maintain accurate timesheets/mileage sheets

· You have a responsibility as an Employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You must record all details in the accident book.

· You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident.

A good knowledge of supporting young individuals in a social care setting

Qualifications in social care especially around supporting a young adult with Dysphagia preferred but not essential as training can be accessed if required

Good communication and organisational skills.

· It is really important you are punctual.

· Able to work on own initiative

· Honesty, reliability and trustworthiness.

· Good sense of humour

Desired:



· Good general education

· Flexible and innovative approach to working

· Experience of working in a care/support setting.

· Car owner/Driver-not essential at present

· DBS Disclosure required - cost covered by employer
