Responsibilities
Conduct inspections of food establishments to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Assess the processing, storage, and handling of food products to identify hazards
Collect samples of food products for laboratory testing
Review records and documentation related to food safety practices
Provide guidance and training to food industry personnel on safe food handling practices
Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of findings
Collaborate with regulatory agencies and other stakeholders to address food safety issues
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in food science, environmental health, or a related field
Certification or coursework in food safety and sanitation practices
Proven experience in food safety auditing or inspection roles
Strong understanding of local and federal food safety regulations
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Hours Per Week: 35.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £40.00
