About the School -

We are seeking an exceptional Russell Group graduate to join a leading Secondary School in Central Leeds. The successful candidate will work with academically gifted students to help them maximize their potential and achieve academic excellence.

About You - Graduate Russell Group Teaching Assistant:

Hold a degree (minimum 2:1) from a Russell Group University.
Graduates from a number of different subject areas welcome to apply
Passionate about education and working with young people.
Become a role model to students aspiring to take a similar path to you
May have prior experience in tutoring or working in schools (desirable but not essential).
Are considering teacher training, such as a PGCE, School Direct or Teach First

The Role:

Earn up to £520 per week
Long-term, full time Graduate Russell Group Teaching Assistant role starting ASAP
Work closely with students, providing one-on-one and small-group academic support
Assist in preparing lesson materials and resources
Teacher training opportunities from September 2025, ‘Teach first’ and the evidence only route
Help manage classroom activities, fostering a positive learning environment
Contribute to raising student engagement and attainment
Sociable working hours between 8:00am and 4:00pm, Monday – Friday

As a Graduate Russell Group Teaching Assistant, you’ll work alongside teachers and other education support staff to work closely with students in the classroom, as well as 1:1 and in small group settings. You’ll have the opportunity to inspire more-able students to achieve their potential, by instilling an interest for learning in them. The role will include a mixture of practical and theoretical tasks, dependant on your subject specialism, to provide a well-rounded experience for both the students’ education, and to develop your own skillset.
