Crynodeb
The department has acute frailty service which include a front door ED service and OPRACs (rapid access clinics). We also have a well-established orthogeriatric service. As well as in-patient and out-patient facilities the department has a Post-Discharge Rehabilitation Service (located at Willesden hospital). The Department of Medicine for Older People has a friendly and informal atmosphere where the junior doctors feel well supported and achieve their educational targets. The successful appointee will be allocated an educational supervisor to assure that a personal development plan is agreed and will assure progression through continued professional development. We aspire to high standards of medical and nursing care, and routinely assess aspects of this with regular clinical auditing, to which the new appointee will be expected to contribute regularly.
