Role: Clinical Lead (Maternity Cover)
Location: Meath School, Chertsey, Surrey
Salary: £46,246 – £51,048 per annum dependent on experience
Working Pattern: 16 months maternity cover, Full time (35 hours per week), 42 weeks per year (term time plus up to 3 weeks of work during school closure periods to be used flexibly throughout the year) with 10 weeks paid holiday. Part time applications will also be considered.

Role Overview:
Meath School is seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Lead to coordinate and develop our SLT team at Meath School. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic SLT professional to lead a team dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of children with speech and language challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support a team of Speech and Language Therapists, ensuring high-quality therapy services.
Oversee assessment, diagnosis, and intervention planning for a defined caseload.
Develop and implement therapy programs, contributing to Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and transition plans.
Provide training and advice to staff, parents, and external professionals.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to support pupils’ communication and learning needs.
Manage and coordinate service improvement projects and audits.
Support curriculum development and contribute to whole-school improvement initiatives.
Oversee supervision, training, and development of SLT staff.
Ensure compliance with professional standards and current legislation.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications: Registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and HCPC.
Experience: Significant post-qualification experience working with complex caseloads.
Skills: Proven leadership skills, with experience in line management, supervision, and performance appraisal; Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
Knowledge: Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and its impact on Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN).
