Job Summary:

We are seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic Field Worker to join our team. As a Field Worker, you will be involved in a variety of horticultural tasks, contributing to the efficient and successful operation of our New House Farm, Canterbury This role requires a good level of physical fitness, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Experience in horticulture is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Planting, transplanting, and harvesting crops/plants.
Weeding, pruning, and other general maintenance tasks.
Irrigating and fertilizing plants.
Preparing and maintaining growing areas (e.g., soil cultivation, bed preparation).
Operating and maintaining horticultural equipment (e.g., tractors, mowers, sprayers – training provided).
Monitoring plant health and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
Following health and safety guidelines at all times.
Working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Maintaining accurate records of work activities (e.g., planting dates, yields).
Assisting with other tasks as required, such as packing and dispatching produce/plants.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

Previous experience in horticulture or agriculture.
Knowledge of plant care and cultivation techniques.
Experience operating horticultural machinery.
PA1, PA2, PA3 spraying certificates (training may be provided).
