Want to make a real difference in a child's life?
Do you have a knack for building trust and helping young people see their potential?
We're looking for Behaviour Support Specialists to work with children and young people (Reception to Year 13) who need extra guidance to stay on track. If you're passionate about encouraging growth, perseverance, and confidence, you'll thrive in this role.
What You'll Be Doing:
· Supporting pupils in the classroom where some individuals may have Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism, and ADHD.
· Helping young people develop emotional, social, and academic skills, often using creative, hands-on techniques.
· Working in small groups (no more than 8 pupils per class) to give each child focused support.
· Using behaviour management strategies to engage students - don't worry if this is new to you, training is offered to build your confidence.
What Makes You a Great Fit? We're not looking for a specific background - if you're patient, positive, and know how to keep young people engaged, you could be a perfect fit. Perhaps you've worked as a mentor, coach, support worker, or you're looking to start fresh in a career with purpose.
To Succeed in This Role, You'll Need To:
· Be a natural at connecting with young people and encouraging them to keep going when it's tough.
· Be willing to learn new techniques for managing behaviour and supporting emotional well-being.
· Be eligible to live and work in the UK, and either have or be happy to apply for a DBS check on the Update Service.
What's On Offer: This is your chance to build a career that genuinely matters. The role often starts on a temporary or contract basis, giving you time to get comfortable before progressing to something permanent. You'll also receive specialist training and one-on-one support to grow your skills along the way.
If you're ready to support, inspire, and guide young people towards a better future, apply now. No experience? No problem. With the right attitude, you can make all the difference.
