What skills and experience we're looking for
At Oulton Primary School, we think for ourselves and care for each other and we are proud to be an inclusive school. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strong candidate to support teaching and learning in our Early Years phase. We are looking for someone who ideally has some experience in Early Years and also has a passion for working creatively and responsively with young children. This role is varied and we are looking for an adaptable, flexible and resourceful individual able to join our team.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Working effectively with class teachers to deliver excellent teaching and learning
• Delivery of set programs such as phonics/maths intervention/small group sessions
• Be able to work as part of a team and work with others to undertake different roles during the day- supporting whole class teaching, supporting groups or working 1-1 with children, including supporting our pupils with SEND
• Coaching children on a 1:1 or group basis
• Accompanying groups on trips
• Supporting assessment and evidencing learning
• Working with the teacher to create stimulating classroom displays and learning resources
• Maintaining a safe and positive environment for all learners
• Creating opportunities for all learners to reach their potential, irrespective of ability
• Is committed to high standards of attainment and behaviour
• Works collaboratively with parents/ carers and outside agencies
• Has a flexible and supportive approach to changing demands
• Will possess excellent literacy, numeracy and communication skills
• Works effectively as part of a skilled team
