Your Role
In this role you will be responsible for planning a number of varied transport surveys, you will therefore need to be able to prioritise work due to fluctuation in workloads. You will establish good working relationships and have comprehensive communication skills to liaise with both office based and operational staff.

Who are we?
The Surveys Research and Analysis Department (SRAD) manage a team of Customer Research Surveyors who perform a range of transport-related surveys, collecting high quality data used to inform decisions to enhance transport across Greater Manchester. As a Planning and Operations Support Officer you will be at the centre of the preparation of these transport surveys.
You will be working in a fast-paced operational department with constantly changing schedules due to the high demand for transport surveys, giving you the chance to grow and build upon your existing knowledge and skills.

You will need to demonstrate a logical and innovative approach to problem solving and the ability to interpret data to identify errors. You will have experience of Microsoft Office packages, the ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines, be able to work as part of a team and also unsupervised. You must be educated to GCSE level grade A- C in Maths and English or equivalent levels of experience.

This role is a fixed term contract for two years and comes with a competitive salary of £28,069 - £29,881 per annum. The role is hybrid offering working from home or in the office where travel is reimbursed.
