Duties as an ICT Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging ICT lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Teach students essential digital skills, programming, and responsible internet use.
  • Foster a creative and innovative learning environment.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Support students in developing problem-solving and computational thinking skills.
  • Ensure students gain a solid understanding of emerging technologies.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance ICT teaching across the school.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in technology and digital education.

The Ideal ICT Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A degree in Computer Science, ICT, Education, or a related field
  • Experience teaching ICT at [primary/secondary] level (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong knowledge of coding, programming, and digital literacy
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A passion for technology and innovation in education
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
