Duties as an ICT Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging ICT lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Teach students essential digital skills, programming, and responsible internet use.
- Foster a creative and innovative learning environment.
- Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Support students in developing problem-solving and computational thinking skills.
- Ensure students gain a solid understanding of emerging technologies.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance ICT teaching across the school.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in technology and digital education.
The Ideal ICT Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- A degree in Computer Science, ICT, Education, or a related field
- Experience teaching ICT at [primary/secondary] level (preferred but not essential)
- Strong knowledge of coding, programming, and digital literacy
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A passion for technology and innovation in education
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
