We believe that diversity provides the talent and contribution that delivers the greatest impact on our continuing success and realising every individual’s potential.

The Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the School and College Engagement team at Plymouth Marjon University for an ambitious and highly innovative outreach practitioner. The post-holder will support the delivery of awareness and attainment-raising outreach activities to secondary school students on behalf of Marjon and through a collaborative project comprising universities and Further Education (FE) / Higher Education (HE) colleges in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.

Who we’re looking for:

What you’ll be doing:

•The role involves raising awareness of and supporting access to HE in schools where progression to HE is low, promoting and delivering attainment-raising activities, and working with third-party providers.
•You would be offering a personalised service, meeting regularly with partner schools, and tailoring resources to meet the needs of schools and colleges.
•You would be largely based at Plymouth Marjon University but also in a range of FE settings, including schools and colleges.

You’ll need to enjoy:

•Building strong collaborative relationships.
•Working with a diverse range of people in a variety of settings.
•Offering a personalised service and tailoring resources to meet the needs of schools and colleges.
•Managing the organisation, liaison, and administrative aspects of outreach interventions.
•Working to your values: we care about how people behave as well as what they achieve.
