Summer Fields is situated in a quiet, well established residential area of Rock Ferry, near Birkenhead in the Wirral. The Home is registered as a 50-bed residential home, offering long term emi residential care, respite, day care and short-term stays. The home is registered to care for people on an emi residential basis as well as for people with dementia. We have an excellent local reputation, and we are a popular local choice, providing residents with a welcoming, homely environment. As part of the ‘Your Health Group’, we pride ourselves on providing excellent standards of care to the residents and their families.
We are currently looking for a Senior Care Assistant to join our dedicated team.
Our aim at Summer Fields Care Home is to provide the highest standard of care in a relaxed, friendly environment with a friendly and empathetic approach. We ensure that residents can still enjoy the freedom and lifestyle of their choice, whilst receiving care that is appropriate to their needs built on dignity and respect and you will play a key part in this:
What you will be doing: -
• To assist with care and support of the service users with their personal care and social activities.
• To encourage and help promote the quality of life according to needs as identified in a service users personal care plan.
• supervising a team of care workers including managing rotas and doing supervisions
• Working with lots of different people including adults with physical disabilities, mental health conditions and older people.
What you will bring:
• A naturally caring approach and a passion for helping people maintain their dignity, independence and choice.
• A respectful, courteous and compassionate nature and belief in giving your personal best at all times.
• Good communication skills to effectively interact with residents and fellow colleagues.
• Reliability and flexibility to support the nature of the business.
Essential Qualifications
QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 2 and 3 (or equivalent)
