Summary

Job Description

To carry out grounds maintenance and other related activities in open spaces, including parks, cemeteries, housing areas, schools, highways, and countryside areas.

Requirements

Horticultural Operations

Sports Pitch Maintenance

Application of Pesticides/Insecticides

Use of Powered and other Hand Tools

The Individual

Experience of grounds maintenance, grass cutting equipment and operations

Experience of using strimmers/pedestrian mowers

Able to demonstrate relevant knowledge, skills and competencies required for role

Able to demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.

Adherence to policies and procedures

Ability to follow routine and planned work instructions.

Ability to work as part of a team

Self motivated

Ability to work flexibly (i.e. overtime to meet the needs / demands of the service)

Ability to bend and stretch when digging soil, raking, hoeing and edging beds and borders

Ability to work in all weather conditions

Temporary positions

Starting salary: £24935.04 (pro rata)

Grade 2 (£12.96 per hour)

Hours are Annualised 35 hours in the winter and 37 in the summer.
