Digital Communications Officer

35 hours per week (or as a job-share)

Within the range £27,021 - £30,060 per annum

Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is one of the UK’s fastest growing nature conservation organisations and seeks to appoint a digital
communications officer to join the communications and marketing team. This post is available either as full-time or as a
job-share.

We need an experienced digital lead with a flair for managing and using multiple channels, to increase the reach and impact of our
work, campaigns and appeals. We're looking for someone who wants to make a world of difference, thrives on variety but with an eye
on consistently clear and trusted messaging.

You’ll be a go-to person for digital comms advice and action, on using engaging content, relevant to our members and supporters.
You’ll help target and reach new audiences, inspiring more people to take action for nature. Close collaboration with colleagues
across the Trust is essential, focusing on our priorities and being an ambassador for our respected brand and goals.

You will have experience in managing social media, including paid content, website editing (ideally CMS-based) and using email
marketing to reach different audiences. You will have an ability and interest in using analytics and assessing impact, to help
bring continuous learning and improvement to our communications activity.

People tell us that the best thing about working at the Trust is the people and you’ll join a dedicated communications and
marketing team, working closely with media and design team colleagues to help plan and deliver communication strategies as well as
respond reactively and appropriately to our day-to-day work. There will be times you will need to professionally handle difficult
and sensitive communications.

Yorkshire is home to some of the UK’s most amazing wildlife and wild places but much of it is under growing pressure and facing an
uncertain future. We are part of UK wide movement restoring nature, helping people take meaningful action and creating an
inclusive society where nature matters. You will have an opportunity to truly make a difference in one of England’s largest
regions, to inspire more people to notice, enjoy and take action for Yorkshire’s incredible wildlife and wild places.

How to apply:

Please submit an up-to-date CV and supporting statement. When writing your supporting statement, please refer to the person
specification within the job description, and ensure you describe your relevant knowledge, skills and experience relevant to the
role. Ideally, your CV and supporting statement should be in an editable format, such as Word, so we can anonymise your documents
prior to the short-listing process. Please DO NOT include any personal details (name, address etc) on your supporting statement.

Closing date: 02 March 2025

Interview date: Monday 17th March 2025, York

Please note that applications received after the closing deadline may not be considered. The Trust regrets that it is unable to
give feedback on unsuccessful applications.

We are committed to creating a Movement that recognises and truly values individual differences and identities. We value diversity
and are committed to creating an inclusive culture where everyone is able to be themselves and to reach their full potential. We
want our people to flourish, just like nature.
