Responsibilities
Conduct legal research to support attorneys in case preparation.
Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and correspondence.
Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documents are filed correctly and available for review.
Assist in the preparation for trials and hearings, including organizing exhibits and evidence.
Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties to gather information and provide updates.
Schedule meetings, court dates, and appointments for attorneys, maintaining their calendars effectively.
Ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines by monitoring case progress and facilitating document submissions.
Requirements
Minimum of an associate degree in paralegal studies or a related field; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Proven experience as a legal assistant or in a similar role is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client interaction.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
