Crynodeb
The successful candidate will need to have passed their Food Hygiene Certificate to at least level 2.
The position will, mostly, require you to work weekends, as the kitchen is open Friday & Saturday afternoons and Sunday lunchtimes.
You will be responsible for the smooth running of the social club's kitchen, preparing and serving food to customers during the kitchen's opening hours, plus extra hours when needed to prep & serve food for private functions.
Responsibilities will include assessing food stock levels and liaising with the bar steward with regards to ordering food supplies and monitoring stock levels for current menus.
From time to time the Club hosts private functions including parties & wakes for which you will need to liaise with the individual as to their requirements and understand any dietary needs you will then be expected to order and obtain supplies by liaising with the bar steward, along with the preparation and serving of said menus.
You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the designated kitchen area to an acceptable standard leaving surfaces cleansed & tidy at the end of your shift, with the dishwasher filled and running.
You will be responsible for regularly checking the food onsite use-by dates and making sure an effective food rotation is in place both for the fridge/freezers and the dry stores.
You will need to keep clear concise records including fridge/freezer & food temperature testing ready to present to Food Hygiene inspectors when needed.
You will need to communicate with the bar staff who will use the kitchen for food preparation & serving on their shifts during your absence.
