Accountable to the Divisional Director of Nursing thepost holder will be an integral member of the Theatre and Critical Care Group Leadership Team. Be clinically experienced, motivated, and independently minded leader who is able to act on their own initiative, achieving outstanding performance as a role model of the trusts values and behaviours. Thrive within a climate of constant change managing the strategic direction and performance with a strong focus on improved patient experience and productivity for the Theatres and Critical Care Provide professional, managerial, and clinical leadership for Nursing in Theatres and Critical Care Support the profession of nursing to ensure that staff work to the full requirements and potential of their roles and grades and develop accordingly. Work to ensure the safety and well-being of patients, service users and colleagues, taking any necessary corrective action as appropriate to prevent any deterioration in service standards, or to the safety and welfare of patients and staff. Develop positive working relationships with to ensure that the organisation is at the forefront of best professional practice and service delivery. Focus on the quality of the patient experience through thedelivery of high quality safe and effective care. Take every reasonable step to maintain and develop own knowledge, skills and competence and make the Divisional Director of Nursing aware of any professional limitations or concerns. As an ambassador of the Trust, ensure that self and others represent and practice to the highest professional standards at all times. Demonstrate the values and behaviours that are explicit in the Trust corporate/ Nursing Strategy, supported by the standards set out by and the guiding principles within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct. Function at a senior level within the care group triumvirate, proactively leading and providing solutions to resolve complex issues, in accordance with professional standards, agreed Trust objectives, targets, quality standards and resource constraints. Will have extensive senior experience in leading professional teams, and will possess leadership skills to deal competently with complex issues in ensuring that professional standards and policy are upheld, implemented and performance managed Be an integral member of the Care Group leadership triumvirate workingalongside the Head of Operations and Clinical Director to lead the strategic direction, policy setting, performance, quality, care, and compassion of the workforce Will have line management and budgetary responsibility for the Nursingworkforce for the Care Group Work collaboratively with this multi-professional team for the best outcomes for patients and staff. Maintains own professional knowledge and competence in order to meet professional registration standards and the requirements of the role.
