Summary
We are seeking a skilled Carpet Fitter and/or Trainee to join our family run carpet and flooring business. The ideal candidate will have had previous experience as a fitter or from a trade/skill background. Someone who is keen to work, flexible on working hours, well presented, has good written and spoken English and able to offer excellent Customer Service. You will ensure all jobs are completed to a high standard. As a Fitter, having your own transport would be ideal to complete jobs within the South Yorkshire region, although not essential.
Requirements:
Proven experience in carpet fitting or from a trade background is advantageous.
Proficient in the use of hand tools safely and effectively, including a willingness to learn.
Ability to read and interpret floor plans, measurements/ flooring materials and follow instruction.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
A proactive attitude towards health and safety regulations in the workplace.
A 'can do' attitude to all tasks and a 'friendly' approach to all customers and colleagues.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored correctly and removed from site upon completion.
Solve any issues that arise during the fitting process, providing solutions as necessary and liaising with colleagues.
