An extremely exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Estimator to join a leading main contractor based in Berkshire to work on a full time, permanent basis. In this role as a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for tendering on projects in the commercial education and social housing sectors, working on tenders ranging from £500K-£20M.
Senior Estimator Duties: - Check and confirm receipt of tender documentation. - Create import / information onto Causeway and/or Bluebeam. - Produce and coordinate information for tender settlement. - Tender analysis adjudication sheet. - Preliminary breakdown. - Sub-contractors' comparison. - Identify risks and opportunities. - Consider alternative methods of carrying out works and how Beard may develop a competitive edge. - Draw together tender information, handing it over in a coherent fashion and ensure buy in from project team.
The ideal Senior Estimator: - Detailed knowledge of traditional and various other methods of construction. - Full understanding of analytical estimating and two stage tenders. - The ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines. - Able to work effectively in a team situation.
