Summary
We are recruiting for a Finishing Pig Stockperson for a private family-owned mixed farm in Norfolk, IP26.
The unit needs someone to cover the fattening and nursery side of the business. Candidates will need at least one year of experience, be self-starters, and take pride in their work. Ideally, you can operate a telehandler, tractor and trailer.
Job Description:
Responsible for the welfare and performance of the fattening pigs (2600 pigs in 6 open barns)
Building good relationships
Feed ordering
Mucking out, muck and straw carting
Maintenance of Red Tractor and Freedom Foods accreditation
General maintenance and cleanliness
Helping with the nursery pigs when required
Salary: £30,000 DOE
Plus:
Company Pension Scheme
Possibility of housing – rent payable
Hours: 43 hours per week
