We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Deputy Director of Community Health & Social Care Operations to play a pivotal leadership role in driving transformation across Norfolk Community Health and Care (NCH&C) and Norfolk County Council (NCC).

You will collaborate closely with senior leaders, partners, and communities to build a future where care is more connected, efficient, and responsive.

Operational Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day performance of services across NCH&C and NCC, ensuring the effective use of human and financial resources to deliver strategic priorities.

Performance & Improvement: Drive continuous improvement, champion quality assurance, and lead on performance management across both organisations.

Integration & Transformation: Lead development and delivery of integrated services, designing innovative approaches to create high-performing and cost-effective care solutions.

Engagement & Collaboration: Work closely with senior leaders, system partners, and communities to shape and deliver a shared vision.

Responsible for day-to-day operations of both NCH&C and NCC, ensuring high performance and confident delivery of services, through the effective use of all human and financial resources in order to deliver on the agreed strategic goals. You will lead on performance management and improvement across organisations and responsibility for developing and delivering co-ordinated and integrated improvement plans.

Lead the transformation and planning of integration across Norfolk for Health and Social Care. Developing processes and systems, identifying new approaches to create high performing services and deliver efficiency savings. A clear focus on engaging with senior leaders and communities and demonstrating learning in practice. Ensuring robust quality assurance and performance measures, data collection and reporting systems are in place, including for contract management, to deliver statutory requirements, management strategy and performance improvement.

The post holder will ensure the approach to service delivery is value led and underpinned by the philosophy of Continual Quality Improvement. You will be required to deputise for the Director of Community Health & Social Care Operations as required across all health and social care portfolios and to take line management responsibility for some operational portfolios, responsibility for hospital discharge and interface services, performance across both organisations and Operational Resilience. You will also be required to participate in the Trust’s senior manager on call rota.
