Telent is seeking a talented individual to join our Network Services team, working on the prestigious Emergency Services Network (ESN) programme. This major initiative that aims to modernise communication systems across the UK's Emergency Services and Blue Light sectors, directly improving public safety and operational efficiency. What You'll Do:

The Networks Solutions Architect will be responsible for architecting and supporting the delivery of the ESN Onboarding contract, ensuring alignment with programme milestones, and maintaining both time and budgetary objectives. In this role, you'll focus on a variety of areas, including WAN, Secure Internet, SD-WAN, Enterprise Wi-Fi, and Data Services.

You'll report to the ESN Onboarding Technical Manager, working closely with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth onboarding of User Organisation Networks to the ESN service.

  • Take ownership of all architecture and technical matters within the Telent Onboarding scope related to connecting User Organisation Networks with the ESN service.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the User Services Supplier technical solution for Control Rooms and communicate essential details (e.g., interface requirements, configuration information, and test verification) to User Organisations.
  • Attend governance meetings to brief stakeholders on technical issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders from the Home Office, User Organisation ESN leads, and Network system suppliers, ensuring successful integration and deployment of network services.

Who You Are:

You are a highly skilled Networks Solutions Architect with expertise in producing Proof of Concepts, and designing complex network architectures, particularly in sectors such as Public Services, Emergency Services, Blue Light, Government, or large enterprise environments. You have previous experience in network configurations, testing, and integration and are familiar with the challenges of working in mission-critical projects.

  • Proven experience in Emergency Services and Blue Light sectors or similar mission-critical environments.
  • Expertise in WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, and Wi-Fi solutions, with a strong understanding of ESN architecture.
  • Knowledge of the Airwave service and its application within Emergency Services.
  • Experience managing onboarding and integration processes, with a strong focus on ensuring seamless delivery within technical and performance requirements.
  • Excellent customer-facing skills, with a proven ability to influence, negotiate, and manage relationships at all levels of an organisation.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, effectively manage complexity and change, and balance multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral), with a focus on clarity, detail, and collaboration.
