Crynodeb
The successful applicant will have duties to include Audio typing of medical descriptions into report Responding to email and telephone queries from consultants and other pathology departments Communicating with admin teams in other hospitals Administrative support to Consultant Pathologist Receipt, booking in and handling of referred blocks and slides Preparation of materials for Multidisciplinary Team meetings Transferring reports into Laboratory Information Management systems Interrogation of Laboratory Information Systems and Patient records Supports and trains new staff members Job Purpose Working within a team of administrative staff to provide a comprehensive support service to Consultants, Medical Staff and other clinical members of their team e.g. Specialist Nurses and Therapists Communicates with patients regarding appointments and admissions at the request of the medical team Provide cover for Team Leader within your administration team as required Cover Clinical Administrator posts Trust wide as required. Please note it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate. The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first months pay.
