If so, we are seeking a Cancer Patient Pathway and MDT Co-ordinator to join the Cancer Information Team at NWAFT on a permanent basis and this could be your next career move! This is an exiting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic administrator to join a dynamic and progressive team that strives for excellence in cancer care.
This post will play a pivotal role in ensuring the tracking and co-ordination of the patient journey through from referral to either a cancer diagnosis or ruling out of cancer then ultimately treatment. We seek to move forward with enthusiasm and ambition to support sustained recovery in cancer performance with talented and passionate individuals. Our patients are and will be at the heart of our work, ensuring continuing high-quality and equitable patient-informed care along the end-to-end cancer pathways.
As the Cancer Patient Pathway and MDT Co-ordinator you will work across the organisation to inspire high quality MDT delivery, ensuring proactive, seamless working to support performance and equitable patient experience across the Trust.

The primary purpose of the Cancer Patient Pathway and MDT Co-ordinator will co-ordinate and provide administrative support to the cancer multidisciplinary process.
The post-holder will work closely with the wider cancer team (both clinical and administrative), as well as other key health and social care providers, to enable person centred care and efficient implementation of the pathway.
The Cancer Patient Pathway and MDT Co-ordinator will be involved from the beginning of the pathway, to the point of definitive diagnosis (whether cancer or not) and ultimately the patient being treated if cancer is confirmed. They will maintain effective communication with staff and services to ensure tests and appointments are scheduled in a timely manner. The post holder will identify and resolve barriers to care, working flexibly and responsively to unlock bottlenecks and delays.
