Dunbar Delivery Office
Pay Rate - £13.37 - £14.49 per hour
Location – Dunbar Delivery Office (32 High Street, Dunbar EH42 1AA)
Shift Pattern – Monday – Sunday
15:30 – 19:30 Monday – Friday
09:00 – 17:00 Sunday
Hours per week – 28 hours (subject to change dependant on requirements)
Duration – Temporary ongoing as required
If you are looking for an exciting opportunity , we would love to hear from you! Pertemps are delighted to be supporting Royal Mail in recruiting Postal Delivery Workers across Scotland.
Key Responsibilities:
- You'll start your day in the local delivery office sorting and collecting post/parcels to be delivered
- You'll be given a hand-held device to capture customer signatures for deliveries. The hand-held will also act as your routing system, telling you where to go to next
- The role will be physically demanding, where you'll be walking at least 8 miles per day. You will also be required to carry a post bag, delivering letters and parcels
- Driving and on foot delivery will be required, and you will be required to push/pull a post trolley during deliveries
Key Requirements:
- MUST hold a valid full UK driving license with a maximum of 6 points in your current address. (a clean license is preferred)
- Previous delivery or driving experience preferred but not mandatory
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- A commitment to safe and responsible driving practices
- Working outdoors in all weathers is required
- Flexible with shift times and days
- A Basic Disclosure check will be carried out for successful candidates
