Summary

6am-10am, 2pm-4pm, 6pm-11pm

About the Role:
This role will support in transporting staff to and from work at our main site on Cornford Lane, Pembury. You will be responsible for their safety, health and welfare during the journey and be responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle.
As the Staff Shuttle Bus Driver, you will be responsible for supporting this service that runs 7 days a week between the following times:
6am – 10am
2pm – 4pm
6pm - 11pm
These times may vary depending on demand. You must have a full, clean driving licence which legally enables you to drive a minibus or have a minibus provisional entitlement / passenger carrying vehicle (PVC) license or a public service vehicle (PSV) operator licence.
While driving the vehicle you will need to:
1. Undertake transporting Aspens staff to and from their designated pick up points to and from work. Designated pick up points are located in (but not limited to)
a. Cornford Lane, Pembury
b. Tunbridge Wells
c. Tonbridge
2. Ensure all passengers are safely seated at all times while travelling
3. Observe speed limits and obey road signs
4. Assist with the care of the staff shuttle bus
5. Perform simple vehicle maintenance, such as refuelling, cleaning the exterior and interior of the shuttle bus and vehicle observational checks
6. Report any damage or vehicle faults immediately to your line manager
7. Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed and in date i.e. mileage logs, vehicle checks etc. before starting any journey
The Shuttle Bus Driver will also be expected to:
1. Attend meetings as necessary
2. Uphold the aims and objectives of Aspens Charities
3. Build a good and respectful relationships with those who utilise the shuttle bus service
4. To ensure respect, dignity and equality is maintained at all times
5. Fully implement the policies and procedures of Aspens Charities and ensure that all recording systems are completed accurately on a regular basis
6. To follow the Health and Safety Policies and Procedures of Aspens Charities
7. To maintain a professional relationship with residents and colleagues at all times and to undertake allocated duties in a correct manner
8. To participate in 121 sessions with a nominated manager
9. To complete relevant paperwork and reports that are required in relation to the Bus maintenance
10. To participate in training as directed
