Good public transport routes – close to train and bus stations / We also provide a staff transport service

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Acorns Day Services team in Pembury to support adults with learning difficulties, autism spectrum conditions and / or physical disabilities to access various arts and crafts activities in the week.
The post holder at all times will work towards the implementation of the Aims and Objectives of Acorns Day Services.
The post holder will work under the supervision of the Manager of Day Services and relevant Senior Support Worker to enable the implementation of areas of activity, supervision, care, support and training for day service users.
The post holder will advise the Manager of Day services on all aspects of craft activity developed in the Centre.
The post holder will act as a positive role model for service users enabling each to reach their potential, pursue a fulfilled and chosen lifestyle based on principles of normalisation and informed choice.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8.45am – 4.15pm This contract is for 37.5 hours per week and is for a permanent place within the team.
About You:
If you are someone who is passionate about art and about supporting adults with learning disabilities, this role could be perfect for you!
You should be an enthusiastic, motivated and caring team player, with previous experience of working with adults with autism spectrum conditions and a L2 NVQ in health and social care (or willingness to work towards this).
