The Greville Primary School is looking for a colleague to join the school office team.The successful candidate will be motivated, hardworking and will show initiative working as part of our front office team. You will have the skills and experience to provide a wide range of administration duties for the school. The front office is a busy and varied working environment, ideal for someone who is friendly and welcoming and has the ability to remain calm under pressure. You will have the skills to interact well with children and be committed to their wellbeing. You will be confident with the use of Microsoft Office and IT and be able to remain professional when handling confidential material. You will also have excellent communication skills and ideally have experience of working in a busy office, or in a school, along with first aid and safeguarding experience. Part of the role will include maintaining medical health care plans for pupils and any similar experience would be beneficial, but not a necessity, as training can be provided. You will also be responsible for promoting a professional and friendly point of contact for parents, carers and visitors, ensuring that all queries are dealt with effectively and efficiently. We require someone who is dedicated, flexible and self-motivated, you must be able to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate can look forward to a supportive working environment, relevant training and the opportunity to represent our school as the first point of contact for all visitors. Reporting on daily meal numbersTelephone and reception duties Pupil welfare and administering first aid Wisepay, on line payment administration Maintaining pupil records on ScholarPackMaintaining lost property levelsPostMaintaining Health Care PlanGeneral administration dutiesWe are looking for someone who;
demonstrates a high level of confidentiality and shows high levels of initiative
will interact well with the children and be committed to their wellbeing
has excellent communication skills
can consistently deliver high quality support
has a friendly and pleasant personality
is able to demonstrate basic secretarial and IT skills (including Excel)
is enthusiastic to learn
has O’Level /GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English (all short listed applicants will need to provide evidence of Maths and English qualifications at GCSE level or equivalent at the interview).demonstrates accuracy, flexibility and the capability of working under pressure within a team environment.Starting salary PS3 £23,576 per annum full time equivalent Pro rata £12,676.44 per annum 22.5 hours per week, 39 weeks a year (term time plus inset days)Wednesday 8.30am – 4.30pm (half an hour lunch unpaid)Thursday 8.30am – 4.30pm (half an hour lunch unpaid)Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm (half an hour lunch unpaid)Hours and days for this role unfortunately are non-negotiable, due to the standard timetable pattern across the admin team.
