Band 5 Staff Nurse Same Day Emergency Care Full time/Part time/ Fully Flexible Temporary fixed term contract Do you have a genuine interest in working in an up and coming area of the Emergency Floor? Same Day Emergency (SDEC) unit is looking for highly motivated, forward thinking and enthusiastic staff nurse to join us. You need to be passionate about providing high quality, emergency same day care in this fast paced, evolving and exciting are of acute emergency care. You must have excellent communication skills and be excited about being part of an innovative nursing team. The Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit works as part of the Emergency Floor as an assessment and treatment area to facilitate admission avoidance. We see patients from the Emergency Department; GPs referring into Speciality teams and other clinical areas of the Royal Surrey County Hospital. The service runs 7 days a week but is not open overnight. This band 5 role provides a real opportunity to develop clinical skills and knowledge base in all specialties while being supported by a senior and experienced team. This is the perfect place to hone your assessment skills in a friendly and supportive environment whilst developing good working relationships in a relaxed and enjoyable working environment. We are dedicated to training and developing our staff in their chosen field and we take pride in our track record of developing our nurses into nurse specialists and nurse leaders of the future.
